right now i have a 29 gal planted tank with driftwood and everything. the only fish right now is 1 angel, 1 male and 1 female german blue rams, and 1 albino corry. originaly i was going to go for 1 angel, 1 male and female german blue rams, 11 cardinals or neons, 3 ottos, and 5 corries. will these be acceptible for a discus? will it be alright being the only discus in the tank? will a 29 gal be big enough for a discus? how should i change the stock to make room for a discus? how hard are discus to take care of? any other info you have will help a lot.

Young discus don't do to well in a planted aquarium due to the nutrients present in the water, also discus are a shoaling fish and general don't do to well on there own, a group of 6 or more is best, i would go no less then 4 discus together, but you would need a min of 55 gal for that.

Personaly i'd swop the angel for a female ram and add a nice shoal of tetras and some corys, they would look bizz in a planted tank.
