Discus Question

hi all. i have a question. i have aquired a pair of breeding discus and was wondering. when they are about to breed do the get a mucus / slim on there bodys before they spawn.

They will most likely start to clean a spawning surface off first. It will look like they are pecking at it very aggressively. And than the mucus will start to form.

ok. well i got them a few days ago and they have made a certain place in the tank there own already and just noticed they are starting to get mucus thats all. so was just hoping it was nothing to worry about

I have zero hands on experience, but i have been reading a lot on this lately and it does sound about right. Good job on getting the pair, you lucky dog!
