Discus Has Shreaded Pectoral Fins

Hi, all of my discus seem to have torn pectoral fins and maybe a tiny bit of whitespot on the end of the pectoral fins. i have put the temp up to 32deg from 28deg and have added some "Protozin" for whitespot. is there anything else i can do???

I personally wouldn't raise the temperature because temperature fluxuations stress the fish. The white spot sounds like ick if it is just a dot. If it is a fuzzy white stop then you could have fin rot. I would suggest if all of your fish are scaled add a tiny bit of aquarium salt and add some Melafix if you can get ahold of some. Make sure that your fish in the tank isn't picking on this fish.

Hi, i have raised the temp very slowly. yes its just a little dot on the end o most of my discus' pectoral fins. i have now added salt. and i cannot get melafix until tomorrow now. but will get some tomorrow. and the only fish in the tank are 8 discus 1 bgk 8 corys and 2 baby bn's

The reason I suggest melafix is because it is natural herb and plant extracts that kill a lot of problems. It sounds like that dot might either be ich or a scab from something being ripping on the pectoral fin. If it is ich try to put the discus is a hospital tank to isolate the possible ich from spreading.

I will get some tomorrow as cant get it now everywhere's shut. also i cant put them in a hospital tank as they all have it. and my hospital tanki s only 15g. also corys arent seseptable(sp?) to ick.
