It's looked thinner than the other Discus for about a week, and tonight I saw it just going with the flow of the tank, making no effort to move exept move its fins now and again. Its a blue Discus but on one side he's turning white. P.H & Nitrate ect seem fine but I took it out and put it in a bucket with a heater at 27 to 28 temperature with half fresh water and about half tank water. Probably going to die but is it worth using treatment? I have some Methylene Blue but don't know if it'll do more harm than good....

Discus are hard fish to save once they catch a sickness, because they are so sensative.

Im not going to say its not worth trying, but it defintately wont be too easy.

may i ask.. wat you are feeding your discus, how many you have and what else is in the tank.

the fact the discus is not eating may be caused from stress from other fish, or maybe something else. Also, is he new?

Its dead now. Had it for around 7 months, it actually had whitespot allover it about 5 months ago and survived with some treatment added. Its a 240 Litre tank with 6 Discus now, 12 neons, 2 rams & 2 Plecs. Feed them mostly on bloodworm, but other frozen foods too. Flakes and Pleco wafers for neons and Plecs
