I have a large 350lt 4ft tank into which I am placing my existing stock of fish

1xred tail black shark
5xtiger barb
8xpuntius partipentazona
5xclown loach
2x angelfish
2x elephantnose fish
6x cardinal tetra
1x gold gourami
1x opaline gourami
1x dwarf gourami
1x bristlenose plec (male)
3x corydoras adolfoi

I really am interested in adding discus to my tank and want to know about any compatibility issues with my existing stock.
water stats are all good and pH is around 7.2-7.4
my barbs are not boisterous because they are in a large group. they just seem to play amongst themselves. tank is heavily planted with lots of long straight vallis and bogwood hiding places.
thoughts please folks?
thanks
paul

I wouldnt if i was you, discus are best in a species tank, they of course can have tankmates but not as above, your pretty well stocked already anyway

They like to be in a schoal so really no less than 5/6 so it just wouldnt work

I have successfully kept discus with all those fish except, red tail black shark and tiger barb.

In a similar case i am looking for tank mates for my fish it's 46 gallons and horribly under populated. This is my first discus and She (going by the angle of the fins technique) seems to be doing well. i'm considering getting a second discus. But i was wondering what fish go well with discus.

My first idea was a black ghost knife

I have:

1- a 2" discus (possibly blue turquoise)
2- 3 Blue rams
3- a tiny spotted Cory cat

in specific i'm looking for an algae eater I've heard this is difficult as they are attracted to the slime discus give off.

Bristlenose are safe with discus (and fancy goldfish).

I think the tank is a little well stocked to add discus. I think the shark would go after their slime coat eventually.
