Discus Aggression

How aggressive are Discus if you have one and then add another one to the tank??

I know angels are very aggressive and rip fins but are discus as bad?? What about if they turn out to be the same sex??

Well, if theya re amle adn female, they will pair up. If they are amle and male or femlae and female, they will attack eachother. How big is your tank? Discus do best in groups 4 or more. More is better.

No, they probably won't pair up if it is just two.



Discus need to be kept in groups of 5 or more, if they are not you will see that the most dominant fish will do damage to the others. Sometimes they will even kill the others.

DiscusLova: They will pair up if they are a compatiable pair, but it is unlikely. I should have stated that.

i agree with discus lover with just 2 discus one will get bullied, you would be better with a group, they are shoaling fish, and feel safer in numbers.
