Sounds bad.

Whats his color like? Any sign of disease? Does he get builled by the other Discus?

How big is the tank, and how many Discus are in it? Any other fish?

This is most likely caused by stress, could be due to a variety of reasons...

what's the temp? I would do a water change, as 25 nitrates can be considerd high for Discus. Also, how long have you had them? Is it possible that they are being bullied? Could they have internal worms?

If a discus isn't usto to .25 nitrates it's going to be affected by it.Carry out a 25-30% water change to lower it.
Filters and heaters all ok?
Have you carried out a really large/cold water change?
Are they new or have they been settled in a while?
Siphon out all the uneaten food. :good:

I wouldn't say that the Nitrates with lower with a water change, who knows how much is in the tap water normally...

Check the tap and see what it's at first, just for our information, but carry out a small water change anyways (20%) as it wont do any harm.

Dis-interested discus is almost always a sign of stress/overall wellbeing and I would put it down to water quality as a first area to check. Even when being wound up by tank-mates they still should show interest in feeding unless they are suffering from agression.

I'd give a couple of water changes, maybe 10-15% for a couple of days. What tankmates do they have?

The person put down the water stats, all of which seem okay.

Perfect Nitrates are zero (especially for Discus) but 25 ppms shouldn't do too much damage...

Sorted problem out, C02 poisoning.........aerated the water and after a couple of hours seen improvement.

Back to normal now....cheers guys
