Just wondering if anyone has had the same problem. I had 6 danios a few days ago. I cleaned the tank today and noticed there were only 5 danios, I looked for the body and couldnt find anything not even a trace. Could there be any possibility that the other fish ate it???

When i cleaned the tank i removed all the wood and moved the filters to make sure it was not under anything.

I've had fish disappear before, never to be seen again, it's strange.

Maybe it jumped? Could it be on the floor, behind the tank or anything?

the tank has the lid on all the time and when i clean it it gets propped up against the back wall. The tank sits in a corner so it has 2 walls on the sides. ill check the floor though.

Its not caught up in any plants?

Its a very common problem. Most times they have died and been partially gobbled up by their tank mates and whats left is very hard to see! Also check the inside of your filter - the remains may be in there. I would also test your water to make sure that there is no problem for the rest of your fish.

I spent ages looking for two missing Tetras. They turned up in the top right corner of my tank, on the surface next to the filter inlet hose. Must be a dead spot.

i was removing the leaves from behind the filter and realized the missing danio was wedged behind the bracket for the filter and the glass, have no idea how it got there and was pleasantly surprised to see it still alive...
