I THINK MY TANK IS POSSESED!!!

my first 3 fish were silver wagtail platys, but within 4 days of getting them 1 had dissappeared without a trace (absolutely baffling) no carcus, nothing in the filtration etc

3 months almost to the day i got some upside down catfish and once again, within 3 days, 2 of them have now dissappeared without a trace.

does this happen or am i just jinxed!!!

please help me

Obvious questions, is your tank covered? How often do you feed your fish? What is in your tank? (You mention catfish and platies, anything else?) What bottom do you have? Have you checked the pipes?

What type of fish do you keep as well.

6 mature platys approx 17 young platys, 3 clown loach and now only 1 upside down catfish. i have large gravel and live plants

the tank is covered, i feed them twice a day on flake and i have a submersed filter in the tank

How many gallons or litres is the tank.

firstly your tank's no where big enough for the clown loaches, you need about 75G+ as they grow to 12" and need to be kept in goups of 6, you have about 15g :/

I think they'd be well capable of devouring a dead fish and leaving no trace of it's body. Still need to find otu why they're dying in the first place though, what are your water stats like?

that happened to me once I have 5 danios in my (what was then) new tank and then one day there were 4. No trace of the body. and the others were too small to have eaten it. weird.
