I recently switched to sand after looking at some of the tanks on the forum. How do you all keep it so clean ? ? i know HOW to clean it but within a day there's a layer of rubbish back on the surface. Any way of sustaining a good look ?

Yup. My sand rarely needs to be cleaned, cories rock. If you want, i hear malaysian trumpet snails do that too but you might end up with 3000 of them

would cories eat the fish poo? wat a second that doesn't make sence, they'll just poop it out again...
I just added some sand to the tank (one corner since that river sand is so hard to clean) and my idiot swordtail keeps trying to eat it. He's a little dim. One time he looked like he was choking, but then he just went down and got some more.

They wont eat the poo, that you have to take care of on your own. Just hold your vacuum right above the sand and itll pick it right up.

hi
I had sand in my tank for a year or so and i found out that my sand was getting very dirty. i ask people y this would be and they told me it might be because of over feeding or over stocking 2 times a week i just held the vacuum over the top of the sand and it would pick up all the uneaten food and poo.

good luck :D
