Please could somebody tell me the dimensions of a fluval 3 plus filter, just want to check if it will fit in my 15g aquarium before i purchase one.

A Fluval 2 plus would be more suitable, it may be too powerful. Flvual 2's go up too 24gallons

I like to over filter my tanks, also im adding a spraybar and reducing the flow rate. Thanks for the advice though.

Oh, thats ok then! Yeah, over filtering is good, more filter media space.

Its not too tall for the tank is it ?

Im placing the filter in a diagonal position, that way it fits (its about 1" too tall). If thats ok that is?

I dont think thats much of a problem as you can have it sitting horizontally and it would work fine.

I have a fluval 2 plus for my 11 gallon tank.
