Im having a bit of a dilema as i have a 216 litre tank, which need stocking over next few weeks

but I havent a clue as to what I want to put in it other than shrimps

I quite like Catfish, but they all seem to grow to big (other than Coreys)

I dont want many fish to be honest, just a few that say grow to 15cm, can anyone advise me ?

Is a 25cm fish tobig for this tank ?

well you have about 55 USG to work with so this allows you a mountain of options.

It depends on what you want to keep. You said you didnt want a large number of fish so maybe a few medium sized species. This means you could keep things like New world cichlids like convicts, a jack dempsey, a green terror, rams, apistos, firemouths and im sure others that im forgetting. Just make sure with the JD or GT that only one is allowed. For full grown, they will become very aggressive in a tank that size. You could keep a fancy pleco with them, maybe a bull-nose and I don't think too much trouble would arise. If you get convicts you could have a breeding pair, and if get rams or apistos, you could prob have two breeding pairs. All these with a pleco, if you don't mind the waste.

I guess there is gonna be some angel people out there too, and i think at this size, you could maybe keep 3 to 4 angels....im not sure though so don't quote me.

Anyways, im sure there is other things you can do, but im partial to cichilds and think they are awesome fish to have

25cm is about 10" and would be at the absolute max you want in your tank. it also depends on the fish and the tank dimensions.

What kind of shrimp are you interested in? I personally never had any luck with shrimp; they have always ended up as food for my fish. :/

There are plenty of nice catfish that stay under 25 cms. Look at ancistrus species, for a start, and peckoltias. Can't fault the common bristlenose.
