almost got my CO2 setup ready. Just need to decide how to get it into the water. In my last tank several years ago, I used a reactor with a powerhead but it was always getting gunked up and losing performance quickly. Is a diffuser a simpler/better idea? Or are you just feeding your bubbles into the intake valve of your filters? I am interested in your ideas and experiences.

Thanks

Reactors are mainly for quite big tanks. You can get inline reactors which you connect to your external filter and another type which you just connect a pump too and place the reactor in the aquarium but they arent the smallest of things and would be best in a bigger tank were you could hide it.

otherwise Get a diffuser and just place it under your filter outlet to blow the bubbles around the tank.

Its 180 gal tank so I think that may be enough to warrant a reactor. Thanks for the clarification. I guess now the next step is to try and figure out what reactor setup to get. Still interested in anyone's opinions on that ;)
