Digital Thermometers

Hi

To anyone that uses digi thermometers here's a warning.

The digital thermometer i was just using to do some water changes was reading 26c, however it felt too warm. Checked it with a couple of glass thermometers......................both read 35c !!!!!!!!!

The digi one has "ST2" written on it.

Worth double checking if you use digi

Digi ones need to be calibrated sometimes they come with a reset button it should tell you in the manual to put it in some water at 25C and press the reset to recalibrate atleast this is the norm as I know it.

I use the old ones that stick to the edge. My bristol nose likes to suck on em though so they usually get broken so i only put them in when i need to test the water.
