Diffusers?

There is the cheap versions on ebay (2 for £5) which are pretty decent, then as you pay for rhinox diffusers, the bubbles produced are smaller, then as you pay even more for ADA.... well actually i dont know anyone daft enough to pay for ADA lol

A couple of the small ones off ebay will do. The ones sold in pairs so that you can swap them over while you clean the other each week.

I have a Rhinox 2000 that I bought before all the copies were out (Rhinox were the original ADA copy. lol) and whilst it works well IMO should be in a larger tank with higher bps. I have used the Nano ones but the ones I got were extremely fragile.

Get this type and size for your 125Ltr:

besides the rhinox 2000, ive seen the spiro 3000 im guessing its made by the same company?

and ive seen some 'daz's' stuff? are the 'daz's' diffusers anygood?

its not worth it, i just have the 2 for a fiver and have one saoking in bleach to clean while the other is in the tank. then i swap them over when the bubbles arent as fine.

When people talk about Rhinox diffusers they more than likely don't have an actual Rhinox diffuser. They are referring more to the style than the brand.

The bubbles on a real rhinox to a 2 for £5 are in my experience the same!!!

ADA owners say that the diffusers are awesome and better than the rest but I would take that with a pinch of salt. They would say that having spent so much just like Eheim owners do if you read forum thread on here.

Start on the cheapys. If they work great, if they don't then move up to the next level and you only wasted a fiver. If you start at the top and then find out the bottom would've worked you've spent £100 more than you needed to!!

Totally agree
Buy two and and place them to each end of your aquarium, also place them as low as possible or even under a lilly pipe for more C02 absorption to get the maximum benefit.

No, under the external/outlet pipe/ lilly pipe it produces a suction vortex and it stay in the water column longer.

Inline diffusers don't work very well with Lily pipe outlets unless pointed downward from a high flow filter. Talking 1200lph+ really and then you lose some of the 'suction/vortex' anyway.

I would use 1 smaller one each time and stick it either the opposite end to your fastest outflow (high power filter or Koralia etc.) or put it under the filter intake.

Hi all
I have a lilly pipe and a diffuser placed under it what i have observed is that the Co2 bubbles/output, are momentarily suspended under the lilly pipe and then the suction of the vortex expels the Co2 through the aquarium.

The faster the intake of water and the expulsion of this water will have a economical effect on your Co2.
So the cleaner your filter the better Co2 absorption.
