Difficulty Designing My Aquascape

Hi there,

I am having difficulty designing my aquascape, i know what fish i want (rummy nose tetras and angels) have an idea what plants but it is the layout troubling me I dont know where to begin the tank 130lt 600mm wide 600mm high and 350mm deep i dont know where to start what to put where are there rules of what not to do etc..... all i know is i want driftwood and heavily planted the plants i like are at the bottom

Any help would be great

Hi Iam a pretty newbie so what I did was go look at pics of other peoples tanks check the tanks with angels and tettras and youll get lots of ideas how to set your plants and stuff.

So confusing i know! I started by drawing out a few designs then looking at other peoples tanks then combining them to create a final plan, although you will almost cetainly change as there is always something that can be done. For the rule, measure your tank lengthwise from one end to the other. Then divide that number by 2.618. then measure your answerfrom one side of the tank and that is were your focal point should be, but don't be tempted by this rule, her is some more info.
