Just curious, is the tank 48' L X 14' D X 22' H a normal standard size...??

The reason I ask is that the above tank is 10mm think but has completety rounded corners at the front wich doesnt make it look like the usual box tank.
I know its a lot smaller then a 48' X 24' X 24' and filter, pebbles etc are also significantly cheaper........however, I'm worried that eventually I will think about getting the bigger 100Gallon tank compaired with the 55 Gallon.

Don't know what to do now........really liked the rounded corners............are they safe and stronger?

i doubt it is any stronger or safer
i would stick with the 4x2x2 plan, you will have much more options when it comes to stocking.
have you got any ideas on what fish you would like to keep?

if your family are set on having clown loaches you will definately need the 4x2x2 they get big,it takes a long time to get there but they can reach 12" :good:
