I'm toying with the idea of adding some dither fish to my 180L CA tank (1 x blue acara, 1 x c.sajica, 1 x t.ellioti and 2 x pim pictus) and my first thought was praecox rainbows - I've kept them before, they're fast and colour up beautifully once you get them out of the LFS. But I personally think they look best in a tank where they're getting plenty of light, and this tank doesn't get much natural light so I was thinking of something different.

Anyone got any suggestions for alternatives? Its a Rio 180, so about three and a half foot long.

Columbian Tetras,
albino buenos aries
Pearl Danios
longfin zebra danios
black ruby barbs

Black rubys are an option, any other suggestions anyone?

Bleeding heart tetras.

Hmmm...that would solve the issue of what to do with the two survivors I've got in the community tank right now - been trying to rehome them but no-one wants them.

**Editted to add:

The black ruby barbs are something I'd never thought of before, and they are stunning. Got my heart set on them now, how many do you reckon - I'm thinking 6-8 should be alright?
