Hi, what is the difference between marine fish or community fish tanks?

I suppose you could have a community marine.

A marine tank is one with salt in it, generally for more experianced people, as they cost more and take more time + knowledge.

Community tanks are those that house different types of fish that all get on together.

I currently have a tropical community tank but would love to have a marine set up in the future but from what I have read about marine fish is that they require a whole lot of expertise and time, not to mention the expense of equipment and of course the fish.

Maybe when I retire  at the moment I don't have the time.

A community is a community, be it cold water, tropical freshwater, tropical brackish, tropical marine, cold water marine. Community just means more than one compatible species living together. e.g. neons, rams and cories would be a community, discus, yellow labs and tiger shovel nose catfish would not.
