OK I just bought my first Betta, and my first question is about his diet. Will he be healthy and happy eating bloodworms alone? I also got an ADF so I thought the bloodworms would be a good choice, as they are a mutual food.

And also, my ten gallon (his home in the near future) has a filter that puts out a strong flow. It's one that attaches to the back, and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas of how to slow the current significantly. I was going to try to suction a sponge directly below the flow, but am having trouble finding materials to do this.

He is currently in a plastic container with gravel and live plants, so I want to get him in the ten as soon as possible.

Bloodworms shouldn't really be fed more than twice a week as they are high in protein and will cause your Betta problems. Flake or pellets will be fine as his main diet and the bloodworm more of a treat.
When feeding your ADF, try using a pipette. That way, the fighter is not likely to eat it before they do!
As for your filter, try moving it a little lower down and directed at the back of your tank. This will help slow the flow down.

Yeah I was thinking turkey baster myself. He's lucky then that he got a treat today, I'll go get some pellets tomorrow. Thanks for the feedback.
