so i have one of those really fat looking mollys, kinda like a cow, and its not swimming at all, and if i motivate it (by putting somethign next to it) it seems to struggle to swim and floats in all sorts of directions, any remidies?

forgot to add and im a total newb so i dont know some of this stuff

Tank size:28 euro
pH:?
ammonia:?
nitrite:?
nitrate:?
kH:?
gH:?
tank temp:76 degrees

sorry ive had a tank for 5 months and theyve all been fine until now

You could put some salt in the tank, since mollies do prefer some salt in their water, granted you have other fish in your tank that can tolerate it. I don't know if the little guy will live, though. Balloon mollies aren't the most well-bred fish. They don't do well with diseases. :(

I would take a sample of your water to the lfs and tell them to write the readings down in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
I would invest in a master test kit of your own.
Is she pregnant.
Is she unable to maintain her balance in the water it sounds like swim bladder.
If she pregnant the babies could be pressing againt her swim bladder.

i think my tank mightve caught a disease because the other fish are looking sickly and i had just put some walmart fish in there so...yeah
also i was wandering since im totally ignorant on the subject what should the ph nitrate and all that other stuff be?
i have a balloon molly, glass catfish, some sort of african catfish with like a sailfin...i dont know the names of my fish i should id them, but is there like a general level for all of these things?

If the fish are looking poorly this is why we need to look at your water stats, as if the water quality is bad it makes them ill.
You say your tank euro how many gallon or litres is that, do you mean 28 gallon.

it just said 28 euro when i got it but im pretty sure its gallons, and im going to the store in a couple of hours, any suggestions on what kits i should buy?

Api master kit they do ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
Though there nitrate test kit not that good I buy tetra.
Liquid test kits are the best, so don't buy them test strips as they are not that accurate.
