I have a male blue dg who recently had to be evicted from my 4ft as ive added five female bettas. He's one of my favorites so what would be an ideal setup for him (incl. Tank mates ). I have a 60L and a 80L I can use.

I have 2 powered blue dwart gouramis in my tank with jumbo neon tetras, pink skirts danios, angels, cories, pleco, and about 14 platies ( including 12 fries about 1in+ and a breeding pair ) ...my dg never bother any other fishes, other, only sometimes the DG go at each other for minor nipping but never to a bad level or anything...and also maybe it helps me since my 80 gallon tank is fully planted

I the 60L would be ok, but the bigger the better!

Lot's of floating or overhanging plants will appreciated. Some amazon frogbit would work well. It floats and is not demanding with nutrients. DGs enjoy hanging out in the roots.

If he was in the 60L what would his ideal tank mates be? And then again in the 80L? I'll try to get hold of some amazon frogbit. He's so spoilt at the moment, I don't think he minds being by himself :p

I'd like to stick away from livebearers if I can, Otos are also impossible to get hold of. Something with some colour would be great.
