Denison Barbs are dancing again, not seen since the addition of a couple new ones a couple months ago

These are egg scatters, right??? Well this time they are incorporating the interior of one of the pagodas… lots of the various fish hang out inside, but the Denisons are usually under them, at the gravel… again, sorry for the poor quality picture, but there is a Denison inside the pagoda ( tail hanging out, on the right side ) this is the 1st time I’ve ever seen them inside, and one pair seem to like this spot, this morning…

The fish inside the pagoda, came out, and danced a little, and the other went inside… it’s been an interesting watch this morning… but now I’ve got to get busy…

Denisions are dancing again this morning… never witnessing fry, but they sure are interesting to watch… I’m sure any eggs are too close to fish food to the other tank mates to survive, to hatching…

curious how @TwoTankAmin ‘s fry are doing, if they made it to a larger size…

Mine offspring are now about 2.5 inches. All 4 are still doing great. They now school with the 7 really big I have had now for years.

My research tells me they are also coracious egg eaters. Mine spawned not long after I cooked shrimp. I was feeding these for the clown loaches. But my closwns vary from a couple of inches to two bigger ones 10-12 inches.

I buy frozen cooked shrimp and then cut them into assorted size pieces so the smaller clowns are able to eat them as well. I do see the barbs scarfing down some of the smaller pieces before they it the substrate. The barbs spawned soon after I started to feed the shrimp. However, the tank gets fed brine and mysis shrimp as part of my rotating menu.
