I look up to all of you guys, so I'm going to ask you guys a serious question. I want to get a delta betta, and I need to know everything on how to ensure that their lives will be awsome.

P.S. how much do they cost in the U.S.?

If you want your betta to lead an awesome life, here is what you need.......
2.5 gallon tank..... if you don't have room a 1 gallon would be sufficient, but the bigger the better.
silk plants
sand/gravel
different kinds of food (pellets, bloodworms, shelled peas)
water dechloinator
and most importantly give him lots of love and attention. To get a delta you will probably have to order him, I suggest looking aroudn aquabid, although I recently found a delta at my lfs, it isn't very common, at least not where I live..... That's all I can think of for now, but I'm sure others will have much more to add. Have fun, and beware, the world of bettas is highly addicting!!!

I prefer real plants highly over silk ones, I just can't stand fake plants... But that is all opinion, I doubt the fish mind much :)

I suppose I should have put silk/live.... anything but plastic really..... But most of the time when people are setting up a place for bettas they aren't talking about well lit setups, a lot of times even bowls with no lighting at all. I have live plants in my tropical and it is so hard t mantain I can't imagine having it in all of my tanks :S
