That title sounds so harsh.
I noticed one of the fry (born November 2011) looked slightly bent but thought hey it was new and just one of those things that would correct. I actually totally forgot about it :look: That was until I was feeding the babies (ranging from 4mos to 3wks) the other day and saw something. On one of the ones born from the same batch looked like a white poop was balled up and stuck. So I figured stressed and gave some deshelled peas. Two days passed and nothing. I pulled it from the tank to look better and it looks like part of the fish is protruding from it. Has anyone ever heard of this before?!

So I have that one and the bent spine. Bends at the base of the tail. Then the other with the anal issue.
Not sure if this is relevant at all. But they are all very different sizes from the same batch. Some are little itty bitty still and then middle and other that are huge!

Is it normal to have such a huge difference in size?
Theres 3 that are tiny. The same size as my 3wk molly. Then they get slightly bigger and range almost to 1/2 the size of the 4mos one.

I can't see anything on the second picture, but the first one reminds me of a disease called Hexamita.

Size difference is normal between fry from the same batch.

Edit: Oops, had to fix a few mistakes

I've had deformed fry from guppies and swordtails before. Some of them got their spines straight, others died due to difficulties swimming to feed from the top.

i cant see what you mean with the bent fish in the picture as it is difficult to see, but my friend had a guppy which got stuck in the filter and became bent. It is still now going strong, just a bit smaller in size and obviously bent, but hes still swimming around like a happy fishy.. just bent.. :hyper:
He is actually quite funny to see :)

O.O i know this doesnt have anythign to do with your poor fry, but i noticed that in the tank they are in you have something covering your filter (i think) we have a little tank set up for when my mollies give birth, but we are super worried about them getting sucked into the filter! what do you use to keep them from getting sucked up??

It was a mesh net I bought from petsmart. It just slipped over and I wrapped once cause I bought the big one instead of the smaller one (ugh!). Then just put a small elastic around. It worked perfect!
