Hi I don't consider myself to be a newbie as I have had my aquarium for the past 6 years. But I did a stupid thing by rushing out to buy some new platy's from my local pet shop I did not check the fish when I paid for them and one of the platy's looks deformed as if he's been squashed and just looks wrong. So always make sure that the fish you purchase is the one you chose. That said I will not be buying anymore fish from this shop in the future.
I do not have the heart to freeze him or hit him on the head. Yes I'm a softie instead I have moved him to his own tank as the poor guy was being bullied by the others and always hiding. As he appears to be a survivor and is fully functional I think he deserve a second chance.
