Hi, I recently separated my guppies being that they were over-breeding. I have also noticed that some of the guppies seem to be deformed. Rather than having round or oval bellies, their bellies are completely flat. They spend most of the time resting on the gravel, and have a hard time swimming around, except at feeding times. Does any one know what this could be due to? Please help.

Do the guppys look skinny.
Do teh guppys have sunken in belly.
Any of the guppys have bent spines.
Are the guppys young fry.

Yes, the sick guppies look skinny and have sunken bellies. The healthy guppies look fine and behave fine. Their spines look straight as far as I can tell. They are adult females.

it could be internal parasites to fish tb then.
Toi be honest I think I would destroy them if they look in bad shape.

Signs of internal parasites are.
Long stringy white poo or clear mucas poo.
Red inflamed anus or enlarged anus.
Being skinny or bloated.
Sunken in belly.
Fish will swim on there sides sometimes.,
Bent spine sometimes,.
Worms prutruding from the anus.

Have you noticed any symtoms of internal parasites.
