Hello Everyone. In order to fit a larger tank into available space I'm thinking of a 37 gallon (30 x 12 x 22). The planted 20 gallon tank I now have is only 16 inches deep. In your experience, what difference would the extra 6 inches make except wet sleeves?

For a tank that size? Not much. Ability to grow taller plants; easier to maintain water parameters; more clearly separated top, mid-water and bottom fish.

In a larger tank, it would allow you to keep deep fish such as angels and discus, but I would personally never put them into a tank that small (I think they should be kept in groups in at least 5-6ft tanks).

Thanks for taking the time to reply Kitty Kat. I'm headed to the LFS today.
