I remember Deep Thought from a Hitchhikers Guide.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Deep Thought is a massive supercomputer that takes 7.5 million years to calculate and reveal that the Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything is simply the number 42. The computer then explains it cannot provide the Ultimate Question itself but can help design an even more powerful computer, Earth, to find it.

Those are GREAT ! ! ! I haven’t thought about Deep Thoughts with Jack Handey in ages but they used to play him on a radio station here every day at noon and I always made it a point to listen in . Have you ever heard of Mr. Manly ? He was funny too .

OK, here's one that kind of fits Jack Handy and Mr. Manly both.

I was thinking about how Bigfoot is described as a tall, long-legged, hairy faced humanoid who haunts wild country, is ferocious when provoked, but really just wants to be left alone. Then I thought, hey, that sounds like me! Maybe the Bigfoot species is just a long series of elk hunters who stayed out in the woods a little too long.
