Deep Blue Vs Coralife

Which company makes the btter freshwater T5? Both 24" model comes with 14W x 2 bulbs but the Deep Blue one has 4 permanent moonlight LEDs for $8 more.

They will look about the same with just the tubes on if the tubes are rated the same. But the blue LEDs are going to give the Deep Blue more of a blueish color. All depends on the look you want. I don't have any personal experience with either but i do plan on purchasing a Coralife Freshwater t5 fixture soon. Probly in the next week or so. If you plan on keeping plants then whichever fits the plant spectrum better would be the best choice.

I'll give you this - Coralife has excellent customer service. I ordered a new 30" T5 light fixture and it sat for a few weeks while I finished building the tank stand. When I finally set everything up, I discovered that the 6700K bulb was not working. I e-mailed their customer service and while it took them a few days to get back to me, they responded asking for my shipping address to send me a new bulb free of charge! The rep almost instantly responded to the few questions that I e-mailed him, and the bulb is already shipped and on its way.
