hey
i dont even have a tank yet and i have questions, lol.
when searching the web i found an intresting pice on guppy breeding, its that when you are trying to breed guppies ou should have nothing in the tank exept the fish, and a place for the fry to hide. is this truely a thing to do or will it stress them out to much?

I'm no expert on guppies but I belive that the females are born pregnant, according to some members on here they are like rabbits when it comes to breeding

I think that it wouldn't matter if the tank is bare of decorated they will do their thing no matter.

ok thank you for the answer, mabye il try to do both and post wich way is better, if it makes a difference, lol

I keep the breeding tank more decorated then the fry tank. Breeding tank usually has the gravel and more plants just incase I'm not there when the fry are born(kinda lik a security blanket). while the fry tank gets left bottom less with just a bundle of live moss for some extra coverage and food. But personally i make sure there's always some sort of plant in every aquarium i own. Fish like feeling secure and to have a place to run to when scared and the plants make them feel safe. :)
