( First off, sorry for so many threads lately. )

So, I have what is supposed to be a 29 gallon, but it comes out to be about 26 gallons. l-30, w-12, h-23, all in inches.

I do NOT want to try live plants again. I have tried live plants, but they all died, and it was very frustrating and I don't want to do it again. *stomps feet* Plants hate me!

So, how do I decorate such a tall tank? I am going with a sand substrate, and am probably going to stock with a blue gourami, a school of danios, a school of harliquin rasbarosas (maybe), and some corydoras. I will use a black backdrop.

I was thinking maybe a big piece of driftwood that will go diagonally across the tank, maybe? Some tall silk plants on one side, and are there silk plants designed to float at the top? I have a couple neat rocks that came with it, but I don't want it to look really bare and boring.

Does anyone have some pics of a nicely done tall tank? Any ideas?

I think live plants are your best option here... Not really sure what else you could do.

are you considering adding polyresin ornaments?
Maybe, if come across some nice ones that aren't too expensive. I am open to just about any ideas except live plants.

Well, thanks anyway. I'm just no good with plants.

Hey, I like that! I wonder if those are real wood or something bought specifically for an aquarium? I know with driftwood you should soak it for quite awhile, but if its a really big piece how do you soak it? I could try the shower stall, but it will drain in a few hours, and I don't fancy trying to take a shower with a piece of wood!
