I've got a new brackish tank cycling at the moment, ready to transfer over a pair of figure 8's, a pair of knight gobies and a mix of doriae and xanthozona bumblebee gobies, but am a bit stuck for ideas for decor. its an 18" tall tank, and what i really want to do is break up the tank with decor to quite a good height without taking too much volume up with rocks etc. SG is going to be about 1.004-1.005 when i move them, to match the tank that they are currently in, so plants are out really, and i'm not mad on the idea of using plastic plants. Any suggestions for nice decor that will look good with a sand base?

lots of wood twisted together!! you can also tie java fern to the wood as this will survive in brackish water.

what size tank is it by the way?

its a 30 us gal , 30x18x12", theyre likely to be in there for about 12 months as I'm hoping to upgrade to a 55g brackish tank when i eventually move my tropical community to a 100gallon (i hope) :D

Struggling at the moment to work out where i can put the protein skimmer when i up the SG too, its a hagen lid and miniflotor skimmer, the flotor wont fit at the back of the light tube as theres not the space, only place it will go is at the front poking out of the flap, which looks a bit pants :(
