I started with an oscar a lot of years back in Norfolk when i worked at Thermos in Thetford. A guy was selling 2 tanks and one had the most beautiful red oscar, but with a pure green head, it was amazing. What persomnality these guys have and great to see that you have all provided well for them. for the past 2 years i have been keeping Discus but i still miss the old oscar and it's antics. I wouldn't swop the discus but if i ever decided to set up another big tank then an oscar i think would be top of my list. More people should go out buy big tanks, put good external filtration on them and keep the puppy of all puppies "the oscar". They follow you round the room, they let you know when they are not happy about something by playing dead and nearly giving you a heart attack when the lay flat on their sides on the substrate. They let you know when they want your attention by spitting gravel at the glass, they allow you to tickle them and will even ring a bell for their food. Yes great fish guys.
