Dechlorinator

when filling up the tank for the first time, would you recommend that I put the dechlor in each bucketful of water and then put it in, or put all the chlorinated water in the tank and then put the dechlor in before running the filter?

please answer asap!

i don't think it matters...

do the tank thing though it seems to be easier

Doesnt seem to make much difference really. i use both methods - and don't notice any difference to water param's. On the 4', 3' and 18" tanks, i put 2-3 drops in the buckets, and fill from them, the 6ft i fill with a hose pipe atttached to the shower, so i add a few drops every min or 2 where the hose is pumping the water in.

ive forgotten to add dechlor at all before and left it 2 hours, probably longer and i didnt notice any ill effect on my fish.

thanks alot everybody! i have set it up and i am just waiting for the dust to settle (quite literally) before i start adding ammonia.
