Decent Shops For Discus In The Manchester Area

Anyone have any experience of any decent stores in and around manchester? Ive seen a few places that do discus, I havent enquired about prices with any of them, but I dont want to be paying over the odds. Ive seen varied quality of discus and very very different prices and was wondering if anyone had any first hand experience of any of my local stores, any help is appreciated

so far ive seen the abyss in stockport and a place called viper & vine that both stock.

I couldn't comment on any of the stores in and around Manchester for discus but IME buying discus from any lfs is a no no. very often they are over priced and very poor quality. I'm not saying that every lfs will be bad but most. you are better off looking for a local supplier. sometimes its worth going a bit further a field when it comes to sourcing good quality discus. half the battle is starting with good strong lines from good sources. are you wanting young or adult discus?

a few adolescents, 3 in preferably. ive been scourering the web recently, im just very fussy, id like to see my fish properly

Amazon aquatics in Leigh has a whole room devoted to discus, I don't have them myself but they seemed healthy and I'm sure the price was quite reasonable. They are a great store for the other community fish

U could ring, just to see if they got what you are looking for. I always just turn up.

either way these fish will be over priced and under cared for compared to a specialist discus breeder/supplier.
