hi dtoffsett!

im glad that kribensis were picked for the cichlid of the month because their my fav!
Tank: at least 2 ft, 60 litres
Aquascape type: caves, lots of plants including floating plants (live or artifical) sand or small grained gravel, driftwood, coconut caves, a few rocks.
Tank stats: clean water, PH: around 7,ammonia: 0ppm, Nitrite: 0ppm preferrably fish-less cycling
equipment: Fluval U2 filter is what is use (put it on small current, planted tank flow setting) it seems to be the best filter for egg laying fish species as the tiny fry do not get sucked into them and it still cleans out the tank perfectly, airstone or air curtain, algae scraper, thermo strip, lighting preferably dimmed, heater.
fry care: if you decide to breed kribs make sure you feed the fry on baby brine shrimp and ween them onto crused flakes, remove fry from the tank and into a thenfry raising tank in about a month as the female will start to egg up again
word of mouth: you can't beat a beautiful pair of kribs, they're parentle care is fantastic and it is very relaxing and interesting to watch the pair shoot around the tank digging, flerting and looking after fry
