Hey,
2 of my panda cories have died, but i think they died due to the hight temperature,as im treating for whtie spot. My pleco has died too. I was doing a water change this morning, move the bogwood to find him dead :( Why died they die?!! :-(

What is the tank size, water stats etc.

Edit

If they were all in a 70 litre tank i expect overcrowding might be an issue.

But we still need the water stats, that will tell you a lot.

I agree with DarkEntity, if it's your 70l, you appear to be overstocked.

In regard to your fish deaths and high temperature, you must remember that the higher the temp, the less oxygen is in the water. You must maintain high aeration/surface movement with high temperature water during treatment. The fish you describe live at the bottom of the tank, and at the bottom of the tank the oxygen will be reduced further. Good areation/water circulation is highly important. They may have been oxygen starved, or may have succumbed to something else entirely.

Please post your water stats and current water temperature, as well as filtration type and your method used to maintain (clean) the tank. Also, name any medication you're using in the tank.

Hey thanks for your replies
DId a 1/3 water change this morning(gravel vac 25% every week).
Amonia-0
Nitrite-0
pH-7.5-8.0
and nitrate is low too
The temp is lowering as white spot hads gone :) so its around 26 degrees celcius at the moment.
Hope this helps

Well plecs and corys are funny with parasite meds, did you increase aeration in the tank with the high temp and med, as it would of been tough at the bottom of the tank for them.

No i did the dosage that it said, but, after i fininshed the 6 day course(doing days 1,2,3,6) i was told by some guy to do another 6 days(but he was wrong) so after doing another 2 days,we went back in and just asked if we should or shu=ouldnt do another course and the better clever people there told us no. So we stopped,do you think the extra 2 days could have done it? And i did do a 1/3 water chnage after it. ANd then was told after a week do a water change, and then start again,if they still had the whitespot, which they dont! ;) :p

Always follow the advice of the med instructions.
Should of done a water change and ran some black carbon before you went in again.

Juste seen a few white spots on my clowns  So im starting another 6 day course. I hope everything works out okay!
