ok im trying to convince my frend that his fish are in extreemly poor conditions. I walk in his room, and he has yellow almost brown water in a 10 1/2 x 20 x 11 tank (thats what he said). in it he has 2 sharks, a pleco, and a "mini catfish". what should be the minimum for his tank?

Not sure how many gallons his tank is, but discolored water doesn't always mean bad water quality- does he have any bogwood in there? Bogwood can release tannins which turn the water tea colored.
Did you ask him how often he cleans his tank/does tank maintance and how dos he go about it?
I would be more concerned about the sharks right now, pretty much all sharks are terotorial and all will be agressive to each other, you sure he had a type of shark rather than another type of fish species?

theyre definetly sharks, kinda look like bala sharks. he said every time he tried to change the water the shark cut his hand up really bad, so im guessing he hasnt changed it in months. from what i could see, he only has a fake rock rock in there (plastic decor)

Show him a book or a topic on the internet that states the maximum stocking levels for fish tanks. If he sees it on an offical book rather than your words then he might take notice!
