I have just introduced 2 rams to my tank - with an already existing pair of rams already in the tank - after introducing the new couple - the female of the original pair spent a day or so chasing the new female. yesterday morning she was very quite - even worse last night and dead this morning.

Looking at the original male - who has now gone quite - he has little white dots on his dorsal and tail fins - as does the new female and now one of my clown loaches.

I am assuming this is white spot? - what do I do for it? - I don't have any way to quarentine any fish?

HELP

Need to treat the whole tank, turn temp up to 30, add an airstone for extra aearation as the med and high temp will reduce 02 in the water, check the whitespot med can be used at full doses with scaless fish.

What kind of treatment am I looking for? I have used anti-fungus treatment before and ended up with fish at top of the tank gasping - Have now got an air stone so hopefully should help.

Can it be treated?

I'll be devastated if I lose my clowns - well any of them really

I agree with Wilder:
1) Remove your carbon from the filter
2) SLOWLY raise your tank as close to 85 degrees as is tolerated
3) Add aquarium salt...scaleless fish will tolerate it for brief periods of time
4) Start treatment for ich and follow the directions carefully. I used Wardley's Ich Away, malechite green and had good success with it.
5) Treat until you see the white spots disappear and then continue to treat for 2-3 days after the spots disappear.

NOTE: You will continue to risk suffering this away until you get a quarantine tank. It can be a temporary setup.
