Hey there,

I have a 75 gallon freshwater. Water parameters are all stable. Fish have been in tank for about 4 months, and no deaths. This morning I found one of my common plecos floating. My angels, clown loaches, and rams are all acting fine, and the other pleco is ok as well. There is hardly any algae in my tank, and I am wondering if it could have starved or what the deal is. Thoughts?

feed it much?, i know "they" say after plecos become larger they dont eat algae and need a regular diet like the other fish

you need to feed all fish you cannot just rely on algae to feed your pleco it should only eat algae when it is hungry and no other foods are available

i suggest that u buy algae pellets. Because there oviously isnt enuf alge for ur pleco to feed off.

they'll eat the algae pellets they'll also eat mysis shirmp that wind up on the bottom.
