dead mollies

I used to have 2 female mollies( 1 silver, 1 black) - then they both had babies. silverhad hers first then the black one had hers. the silver was moved tanks after she had it back into original tank. the two males picked on her so I put her back and she died. the black one stayed in breeding tank but 2 weeks after she had 23 baby, she died too! whats up? could she have swallowed gravel or is it something more sinister?

I doubt that it's the gravel. They can't fit them in their mouths, adn if they could they would have spit it out.

I blame the enormous amount of stress placed on the first by the constant moves and the males. The second was because, I believe, livebearers become very stressed and weak after birth. Both my platies died days after giving birth.
