Dear all,

I found it strange that I woke up this morning and found 2 of my fish dead :(

I currently own a 2 months old 40 gallon aquarium, with the following tropical fish:

x4 Neon Tetra
x2 Honey Gourami
x2 Khuli Loach
x1 Plecostomus
x1 (was x3) Guppies

One of the Guppies which I found dead, was pregnant (stage 6 from what I can see) and the other a regular male Guppy.

Do you know the reason of their death?

Thanks.

Probably because they are usually weak fish, it is unlikely to have had anything to do with you, but just in case, please post full water readings.

Also, I recommend that you get the neon and khuli numbers up to about 10 of each (slowly), maybe even 15 neons. As always, be careful to buy only healthy fish.

I have checked the water 2 days ago and it was good in PH and nitrate.

So you think that both fish where weak? Do you eliminate any possibility that they might have been attacked by another fish?

Thanks for your reply.

It would really help if you posted your ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, hardness and temperature readings in numbers.. I do not like to make guesses without more information to base them on.
