i kept two dwarf gouramis in a 60 lirte together but i woke up to find one dead on its back between bog wood and the glass but it could not have possibly swan in and died because it was on its back wierd???? it may have died undeneath and gt caught on the way up ( thats what i think ) but i need another opinion
the dwarf gourami had a small white patch of scales behind one of its gills
it had it for about 2 months and had no different behaviour still lively as ever
te onely other thing i can think of is i cleaned the tank thouroghly the aout 8 hours before it died but when i cheked parameters were fine

Could you have forgotten to dechlorinate or used water at a different temperature? Dwarf gouramies get stressed and die easily and the presence of another (I assume male) in such close quarters can only add to this. BTW, was the white fluffy or flat? If it was a secondary infection over an ulcer or some such, it could be an indication that your dwarf was already very sick. Sometimes strong symptoms do not manifest until very late - and by then you can't do anything about it and they die.

i mean i did about 40 percent water change cleaned filter, not just media in old tank water
as i say water parameters are fine so are all other fish
