I lost one of my clowns this morning when i came down this morning he was on his last legs by the time i had got a shower came back down to remove him he had disappeared assumed now deceased, thing is if its died i need to remove it but i have no idea were it is and i really don't want to start moving everything around.

so do you think it would be ok to leave until later im hoping the flow will move it somewhere where i can get it.

I know it should be removed straight away

If you can find it, find it.

How hard you need to try and find it depends on the tank though really. If it's an established tank, with a well stocked CUC, mature live rock and lightly stocked, you can get away with it, just keep a close eye on the water params and do water changes as appropriate.

The only times I've lost a fish in my tank, I've not been able to find it and assume the CUC did their jobs :/

The tanks a 15g been running about 3 months 1 sixline wrass, 2 clowns well 1 now and 20Lbs of l/r

I will try to find it, at least its easier than doing the same with my cichlid tank theres over 100Lbs of ocean rock in that one !

At least your tanks not too heavily stocked.

Sorry for your loss. If you have a turkey baster, you can try flushing the carcass out of the rock with it. A small ocean storm is not a bad thing for tanks anyway.

Well i took most of my rock out and i cant find any body ? .

Im guessing its being pulled into a cave and being eaten so i have got loads of water mixing just in case and keeping an eye on my stats

Thanks for the help
