Dead Betta

My female betta died, and i found her dead and all of her scales were white. Shocking white. Her fins were still dark red and all the body scales white, any ideas?

Pretty bummed, had her for 3 years in my community tank. Well thats sort of good news then, i know it wasnt some crazy thing that kills them. Well i did a 50% water change as i do when any of my fish die just to be safe.

I've been told that Bettas live for three years. It sounds like you have done a really good job, keeping your Betta healthy so that it has lived a normal life expectancy. RIP poor Betta. It must be hard to loose her after having her so long.
