I bought a Scubacube which came with 4 x 13w T8 Daylight tubes. I have since swapped these for some Acadia tubes but im not pleased with the light which looks a little dull to me. Would I be able to grow some easy plants with the daylight tubes or is there a diffrent make of tubes which look brighter.
Many Thanks

Put the Daylight back in if they look better :good:

Yes. As a general rule plants will be fairly happy in most lights up to around 10,000K. So, as SO19 quite rightly says, put them in if you prefer the look.

Daylights are usually around 6500K, but watch out for different manufacturers definitions.

General warm white and cool white tubes look more yellow when placed over an aquarium, and plant bulbs tend to emphasise only the blue and red elements and therefore look somewhat purple to us and dull as they're at the extremes of what we can see.
