cool loking fish but 5 will cost me about £90 not too bad i know as they are 5"
but will 5 not be too much at full size in a 125 ???? :hey:

I havn't a clue; however if the fish profile was submitted by CFC
you can't go against his advise, he really knows his stuff.
IMHO stick to what is posted by CFC.

ok i think ill make a species tank with them they are cool enough to be on there own ane way thanks :D
oh can anyone give me some advice on what plants will be good with them please

They can be kept with other fish, just if you want more than one tiger fish you should have at least 5 as in smaller groups aggression can be a real problem. Any reasonably peacefull fish that is at least 5 inches can be kept with a tiger fish.

The fish in your picture is Datnoids pulcher not Coius microlepis.

so it is i did not realise the ones i am after buying have 7 bands these are the coius ones ?

is there any diffrences in the keeping of the two diffrent fish as i have googled and came up with these two confused somewhat if you know what i mean i like to be fully able to look after my fish before i buy
(so they are like tiger barbs in that the more (5) less bickering)

Care wise the fish are no different. STF are territorial and will fight if kept in pairs, trios etc, by keeping more and crowding them the aggression becomes less and prevents one fish from becoming dominant and terrorising the others, of course there are always exceptions and ultra aggressive specimins may attack others no matter how many you keep.
