i went to the lfs to get some rosy barbs today and the guy who bagged them and rung me up was new. they were $6 each and i got 5, and he rung me up for $6 total. at first i thought, that's $24 i'm saving...but then i couldn't do it, so i had to remind him they were $6 each, not total.

how many times has that happened to you guys and what did you do? if it had been a place i didn't like i might have stuck it to them.

Once I went to the LFS 'just for a browse' and decided to buy a beautiful red/gold VT betta. The girl working there, who I noticed was new, bagged the fish gently, and gave me a little talk about their requirements. We went over to the counter and just as I was thinking 'Gee, she's good for a trainee.....' she tells me 'That'll be $80 please.' I almost fainted! The owner, who was serving the man next to me, laughed and told me that she meant $8. She apologised and handed me the betta. It's all good, I thought... but it gave me a scare all the same!

Back when the reef was HOC Fred wrote me up 3 somethings for a dollar lower than they should have been, it was only 3 dollars but I had it fixed anyways.

$6 is kinda steep for rosey barbs isn't it?

Ive ordered 8 glass cats, bought 2 pearl gouramis, and a spiny eel and she almost forgot the glass cats. So i told her and she was greatful. She gives me small discounts now! So it always pays to be honest! cause ive probably saved more through her small discounts than if i was to take those glass cats for free!

This isn't fish related, but... once I bought a full set of Prisma markers, which are professional quality and therefore very expensive. They look like paint and are really easy to blend and whatnot. Anyway, the whole set was $118, but it got rung up as $18. I didn't notice until I was in the parking lot, and I was... uh... too lazy to walk back in and tell them their mistake

a little steep, at the reef they were only $3.50, but they were out and animal house was the only place that had them--and i didn't feel like waiting.

i can't go w/o paying the full thing on mistakes..

the other day i got gas, and accidentally put in $20.02... i went in with a $20, hoping to find pennies in teh cup, but there were none... the girl told me not to worry about it, but i went out to my truck and got the $.02 anyway...

once at wal-mart, i got 3-4 fish, and the girl only rang me up for 2 and i told her, but she told me not to worry about it.. so i didn't...
