Darkening Color

I had 2 gouramis in my 10g but had to get rid of one because he always chased the other. I now have left an Opaline Gourami. She hides alot amongst the plants. Lately I've noticed her color getting darker and darker, and she's still hiding even though I removed the other Gourami over a week ago. I'm worried about her. Has anyone ever experienced this?

A fish getting darker can indicate a bacteria infection, I would treat her with anti internal bacteria med, good luck.

i have this type of gourami.

i am no expert but mine only appears to do it when foods around or new fish are added. but then goes back to his pale colour.

i think mines just being territorial.

but as i say im no expert.
